Ontario Angus Association Scholarship Program

The Awards are open to a student who:

  • is a Canadian citizen and a resident of Ontario
  • is graduating from a secondary school
  • is a junior member of the Ontario Angus Association
  • has been accepted by a university or other school of higher education

Value of the Award
There are presently two scholarships, each of a value of $400. They will be granted to two students entering post secondary school education.

The Awards Committee
An independent awards committee is appointed by the Board of Directors of the Ontario Angus Association. Upon the recommendation of the Awards Committee, the Board of Directors have final say in scholarship awards.

How Winners are Selected
Consideration will be given to the applicant’s scholastic record, character, leadership, aptitude, ability to benefit by the scholarship, role they have played in the Association and their community and other factors. If for any reason acceptable to the Committee a winner is unable to enter post secondary school course immediately, the award will be held in trust and payments deferred for one year.

Changes in the Award
The Association reserves the right to change the award program but will complete obligations to winners at the time of the change.

Application forms and information can be obtained from this site or by contacting the Secretary of the OAA.

Submission Deadline
Completed applications must be post-marked no later than November 30th of each year.
