Exciting changes are coming to the Canadian Angus Association! We are packing up our desks and heading to a new office space this June.

Please update your records with our new physical and mailing address:

To ensure your mail and packages reach us without any delays, please note the following transition dates for our mail services:

• Canada Post (Regular Mail): Effective June 1st, all mail sent via Canada Post will be directed to our new address.
• Courier Services (FedEx, UPS, Purolator, etc.): Please continue sending all courier shipments to our current office until June 30th. Do not ship via courier to the new address before this date.

Our phone numbers and email addresses remain the same, and our team will be online and available to assist you throughout the transition. Member service will still be available during the move but please be patient as wait times may be longer than usual.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we make this move. We look forward to serving you from our new home in Airdrie!

• DNA samples sent in without test requests will default to Parentage Verification (PV).

• All exemptions from parent verification, made on or after April 1, now require an Angus HD test and Genetic Condition package plus a fee.
• All Donor Dam and AI approvals, made on or after April 1, now require an Angus HD test and Genetic Condition package.

Please note that any animals that have previously been approved as Donor Dams or AI Approval will not be required to complete this new testing.

Please let us know as soon as semen is collected or your flush is done so that Member Service can complete the necessary approvals.

Order TSUs May 1- June 30, 2026 and meet the below eligibility requirements to receive complimentary TSU’s for the 2026 sampling season.

The CAA AGM begins at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, June  25. Voting cards will be available for pick up between 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Please note that there is one voting card per membership and that voting cards will not be given to any member who is not in good standing.

Registration fees are calculated based on the age of the animal at time of registration. If your animals were born in January or February, you’ll want to start registering soon to take advantage of lower prices.

You can easily verify if an animal is registered with us using the Animal Inquiry feature on our website. This tool also allows you to check if the herd sire you want to buy is Parent Verified. If the sire isn’t Parent Verified, it’s important to ensure that both of its parents have markers on file. Having these markers will help you complete the Parent Verification process after purchasing the herd sire. This way, you can be confident in your purchase.

The Canadian Angus Association office will be closed on Wednesday, July 1 for Canada Day. Staff will respond to inquiries on Thursday, July 2, and any work submitted for processing will be added to the work queue in the order it was received.

Please note that our member service team will be out of the office for a staff training day on Wednesday, July 8. If you need assistance during this time, please leave us a voicemail or send an email, and we will gladly return all messages and phone calls when we are back on Thursday, July 9. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to better serve you!

With longer wait times for custom tags, now is the time to get your custom tag orders in for calving season. Please be advised that current  wait times are up to 12 weeks for custom tags. Planning ahead is essential to avoid any stressful delays, so we strongly encourage you to look at your inventory and order now. Don’t wait until the last minute, beat the rush and secure your supply today!
