• Annual membership fee increases to $185
• The fee for parentage verification (PV) increases to $23

Please note that memberships have been automatically renewed for 2026 through AngusNOW and for members that are enrolled in the ACE program.

As 2026 begins, please contact the office by email or at 1-888-571-3580 to clear any outstanding balances on your account. You can pay by credit card, send an e-transfer, or make payments through AngusNOW.

If you usually make payment by cheque, please call the office to pay by credit card to ensure your account will not go into overdue status and be put on hold.

If you are updating your credit card information, please ensure that you also let us know if the credit card is to be used for multiple accounts, such as parents, children, and linked herds to avoid late charges resulting from missed updates.

We understand the stress and pressure that come with preparing for your sale. In anticipation of the increase in samples for bull sale season, we increased genetic evaluations from once a month, to once a week in September.

This means:

• Genomic Test results feed into genetic evaluations faster
• Updated GEPDs are available sooner
• Perfect timing for bull sale season, so buyers see the most accurate data

The Canadian Angus Association office will close at noon on Friday, February 13 and will be closed Monday, February 16 for the Alberta Family Day holiday.

There are five positions available in 2026 on the CJA Board of Directors. One each in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec and the Maritimes. Nominations are to be submitted to the CJA office by January 31. Contact Belinda Wagner at bwagner@cdnangus.ca for more information.

It’s not too early to consider applying for the Beef Leaders Institute (BLI)! The Canadian Angus Foundation, in partnership with the American Angus Association, has secured space for two Canadian Angus representatives at the Beef Leaders Institute (BLI) (https://cabcattle.com/targeting-the-brand/events/beef-leaders-institute). BLI provides a unique opportunity for members 25 to 45 years old to experience the beef value chain from pasture-to-plate. This annual event is designed for those who want an in-depth look at the industry outside their operation. The deadline is February 15.
