Canadian Angus Performance
Program Submission Deadline
October 15, 2010
Earlier this summer we advised all members who participate in
the performance program and submit their calf performance data
that the deadline for inclusion into the next NCE had changed
from November 1st to October 10th.
We appreciate the
patience of our CAPP members during this time, and we value your
participation on the Performance Program.
We
have heard your concerns about the deadline and have extended it
to October 15th.
If you still cannot
meet this deadline:
-
There is no
penalty!
-
We still want
your weights, send them when you can.
-
There is another
evaluation in June 2011 and your calves will receive
National EPDs then.
-
In the meantime
the CAA will generate interim EPDs, which include both
parental information and weaning weight information in the
calculation
· We
hope that this extension to the deadline will alleviate a little
stress during this busy harvest and give you more time to get
your calves weighed.
We
understand that some members might not be able to make the
deadline even with the extension. Please submit your weights as
soon as possible even if it is after the deadline.
If
you are able to have your calves’ weaning weights into the
office before October 15th the association staff will
work hard to make sure that the weights are included in the
upcoming Evaluation.
We apologize
for any inconvenience that this may cause. The Canadian Angus
Association is committed to providing our members with the best
selection tools possible. Please contact Kajal Devani by email
