Go Green

Get a lot of performance papers in the mail? Have you considered going GREEN? We would like to invite you to go paperless and receive your performance reports online rather than getting a paper version in the mail. To participate, contact Kajal.

Learn About Our New Staff

Our new Registrar is Stacy Price who joined us in January. Price is very excited to be the newest member of the Canadian Angus Association’s staff. She was born and raised a Calgary girl. Twenty-six years ago Price married her husband Gordon and became a farm wife. Needless to say her life has never been the same, and she loves it. In 1995 they moved from the family farm to their own place north of Crossfield, where they raised cattle, sheep, grain and their three children Katie, Jennifer and Trent. Several years ago they sold the cattle but kept their Katahdin sheep that she still raises today.

We have also hired a part-time Assistant Registrar, Esther Stern. Stern and her husband purchased their first quarter of land northeast of Calgary back in 1994. Here they have raised commercial cattle, horses, border collies and three daughters. Over the years with industry changes they have also added a millwright business. Stern's education background is in business/accounting and for the last 18 years she has been self employed. Throughout this time her jobs included bookkeeping, direct sales, training and financially advising for five years. Now as a general leader with their local 4-H horse club, the opportunity to join the Canadian Angus Association came to light at a perfect time in her life.

Cassie Bacon is the new Marketing and Communications Specialist. Bacon joins our team after studying at Oklahoma State University where she was on the Meat and Livestock Judging teams. She owns a graphic design and livestock marketing business that just marked its fourth year. Through this experience she has had the opportunity to market cattle for some of the very best purebred breeders across the United States. Growing up she had the privilege to raise and show purebred cattle, sheep and hogs. Bacon resides in Disbury and will marry Ryan Dorran, a livestock auctioneer, in the summer.

Sale Catalogue Tools

The Canadian Angus Association provides electronic pedigree extracts that include three generation pedigree information, adjusted weights, ratios and indexes, EPDs, genetic defect test results, and Elite and Premier status information for those building sale catalogues. This is an extremely valuable service. To order your pedigree extract email Kajal to receive your list of sale animals.
